  31. Yes, well... hardware wise, it's hard to deny that PCs have outstripped
  32. Amigas and even Macs. BUT there's more to it than just hardware. Amigas
  33. and Macs are propriatary, whether we like it or not. So the ROM and system
  34. etc. is integrated. If I have an 8MB RAM Amiga or MAc, chances are, I can
  35. use 6.5 of that RAM for ACTUAL work, programs etc...

  37. Run Win95 on an 8MB machine and see how much RAM you have left for actual
  38. work WITHOUT having to use virtual ram on your hard disk.

  40. Also, a FULL system install on Amigas and Macs take up... what... 4 to 5
  41. MB on your hard disk. How much space does Win95 take, pray tell?

  43. Most PCs NEED Pentiums just to RUN win95. It's ridiculous, the number of
  44. ads we see saying: "able to run Win95" ... have we forgotten that Win95 is
  45. just an operating system and not the be-all and end-all of computing?

  47. BUT... let me put it this way... you can stick to your PCs... the rest of
  48. us are content to march to the beat of a different drummer.
